Foster Digital Education Delivers Women Going Digital Programme on Behalf of GIZ

ree

Foster Digital Education was selected in December 2022 by Business Scouts for Development (BSfD) and GIZ Namibia to implement the groundbreaking Women Going Digital (WGD) pilot programme in Namibia. This 16-week initiative, originally established in South America and adapted for the African context, aims to empower women with vital knowledge and skills in digital transformation.

As the country implementation partner, Foster’s comprehensive role included promoting the programme, selecting and managing registration for 100 female participants, and continuously monitoring their engagement. We also organized virtual kick-off and final events, alongside facilitating networking opportunities and addressing participant queries. The programme covered 16 key topics in digital transformation, from Blockchain and the Fourth Industrial Revolution to agile methods.

The programme successfully equipped participants with crucial digital skills, culminating in a celebratory graduation ceremony. With prominent figures like CRAN's CEO highlighting the initiative's importance, these women are now positioned as digital trailblazers for Namibia's future. Foster Digital Education is proud to have delivered this transformative programme on behalf of GIZ and BSfD, reinforcing our commitment to digital empowerment across the nation.
